I'm In Love

With a little girl named Millie.

I love to kiss her chubby little cheeks.

I love to laugh at her when she makes faces like this.

I love to draw her pictures on the whiteboard by her bed.

I love to rock her until she falls asleep.

... and sometimes I fall asleep too.

Just When We Thought It Was Getting Better

Amelia was just transferred to Primary Childrens Hospital. I don't have much information. All I know is she is getting worse and the doctors don't know what is wrong. Please, please pray for her.

Just a Little Update

The wait is finally over. My baby sister Amelia Kate Lyman was born today, October 3rd, at 1:05 p.m. She was 8 lbs 5 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. So basically she is huge!

I went to visit right after she was born. Through the window to the nursery, I was admiring her long eyelashes, chunky legs, and beautiful round face, when she all of a sudden turned a light shade of purple. The nurse ran over and shook her a little bit and she returned to normal. I couldn't get the image out of my mind and I got a sick feeling that something wasn't right.

By 8:00 she had already had 5 more of these "episodes". I broke down into tears every time someone told me she had stopped breathing again. All I wanted to do was pick her up and kiss her chunky little cheeks. But unfortunately, I couldn't even be in the same room with her. My grandpa gave her a blessing in the nursery, and now all we can do is pray for her.

As of right now, she is hooked up to oxygen and they are monitoring her heart rate. She is a strong little girl and I know she will make it through this just fine.
